1817 Coronet Head Cent. . N-2, R3. VF-25. Rare Early State. Sharpness EF40 but there is microscopic roughness under a glossy dark olive brown patina. There are specks of verdigris in a few of the protected areas and some fine hairline scratches blending into the patina above the 17 of the date and fainter ones in the field before the portrait. Rare early die state without the radial die crack from the dentils down through the first S in STATES.
