1816 Coronet Head Cent. . N-6, R2. AU-55. Lustrous steel brown with traces of underlying lustrous lighter brown toning faded down from mint color in protected areas. The obverse is delicately mottled with some slightly darker steel brown tones. No marks, only a touch of friction on the highest points of the design. Late die state with some reeding on the edge at stars 4-6 (as sometimes found on this variety).
