New York. Aug. 13, 1776. Five Different Denominations. A starter set of five different PCGS graded notes, all with problems as noted. The emblems and mottoes on this popular series were copied from an emblem book by J.C. Weigels, despite several of them being of questionable relevance to the colony of New York. Included are: $1/8 Apparent Very Good 10, Minor Repair at Right Edge; $1/4 Apparent Fine 15, Tape Repairs on Back; $1/2 Apparent Fine 15, Internal Holes; $3 Apparent Very Good 10, Restored Center Split; and $5 Apparent Fine 15, Edge Splits. Lot of 5 notes.
