1911-S $20 St. Gaudens. PCGS graded MS-64. This is a virtually blemish-free case in point of the choiceness of a $20 Saint-Gaudens in this grade: sleek "old gold" in color, with mint bloom that grabs hold of the full effect of the careful preservation since it was made. As is often seen with the 1911-S, the imprint that was left by the dies shows full sharpness which makes it stand apart from other issues around it. It has a wonderful clear sharp strike, evidenced in the photographs (PCGS # 9159) .
