Lot 2424

1890-CC $10 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-62. Well struck and nicely toned. A few very minor bagmarks on the face and in the fields, but generally vibrant with lovely reddish-gold luster throughout, and a testament to this coin's careful handling over the years by former collectors. Unlike the general run of pieces from the Carson City Mint, those from the late-1880s into the 1890s have the strike thoroughly convincing in all places. And even where some weakness is usually found at stars, or neck and leg feathers, this coin excels. An 1890-CC with an appreciable advantage over others in this grade. Mintage: 17,500. Pop 26; 9 finer; 8 in 63; 1 in 64. (PCGS # 8718) .
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000.

Realized $5,060
