1855-S $10 Liberty. NCS graded Details of EF-40. Improperly cleaned. Although cleaned, not harshly so and deserving attention as the second year that the San Francisco mint struck gold coins. Mintage, though high the year before, dropped considerable in 1855 when only 9,000 pieces were struck. This coin offers excellent value for the grade and appearance (PCGS # 8618) .
