Lot 1479

1915-D Barber Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. Nice golden toning around the edges on both sides. A lustrous example of this higher mintage date, silvery and virtually free from abrasions; excellent silver color develops into warm colors in the toned areas. It is easy to see this half dollar was delivered a strong blow by the dies. The dies were set with exactness to impart this detailed, sharp condition to the struck planchet. A very attractive specimen for the Type set bidder to ponder. Pop 7; 1 in 67.
Estimated Value $3,300 - 3,500.
