1908 Liberty Nickel. NGC graded Proof 65. Nice fully brilliant gem. One of 1,620 proofs struck. A nickel-bright, fresh original gem example, as crisp and lustrous as when it was first issued. What we see also is substantial detail to the highpoints on this fine strike, with a bold imprint left in all areas by the recoil of the dies. If one had to object to something, it would be some minor flattening on a couple of the arms of the star above Liberty's head, but this would be hypercritical to say the least. Pop 99; 75 finer.
