Lot 936

A Stylish Lot of Horn-shaped Scent Bottles in Glass and Silver. Europe, c. 19th - early 20th century. Again, all quality luxury items. The cut glass pieces well crafted, some with sterling caps. Noted: a violet bottle with enameled designs; large silver bottle with Birmingham marks (1915-1916); a Scottish bottle shaped like a knife sheath, with acorn "hilt," but lacking the cap/stopper. Material well preserved, but inspection suggested. The glass may have nicks or other imperfections; the lids may sometimes show dents, or applicators may be missing. Lengths: 3" - 6-1/2". Intriguing is the large glass piece, still holding within the original rose petals that once effused the bottle's liquid! Their aroma is wonderfully rich, with a hint of cinnamon! Lot of 7 items.
Estimated Value $250 - 300.
Irving Goodman, Personal Collection.
