Lovely 19th Century Bronze Sculpture by Roth. A heavy solid bronze figure of a nude male Bacchus-like forest creature with a short tail at the base of his spine. He carries a bunch of grapes on a pole over his left shoulder and a small cup in his right hand. Handsomely rendered details with wonderful facial expression. Signed "G. Roth 85", i.e. 1885 Overall height 15", including the 4 3/4" black marble or stone base. Light age wear, otherwise excellent condition.
