Platinum record for Van Halen's "1984" with plaque reading: "Presented to Tom Ruffino to commemorate the sale of more than 1,000,000 copies of the Warner Bros. Records long-playing record album ''1984'." Attractively matted and framed to an overall size of 21½" x 17½". Excellent condition. Frame has been changed. Everything else is original. "1984" was Van Halen's sixth album and their last album featuring singer David Lee Roth. "1984" peaked at #2 on the Billboard Magazine album charts. It is one of only two Van Halen albums to sell over 10 million copies in the United States.
