(Independent Studios) Mae West (1892-1980) Early Hollywood sex symbol, known for double entendres. Single-weight vintage photograph of West in the 1928 role that made her a star - "Diamond Lil". Stamp on verso: "Jack Linder Presents Mae West in 'Diamond Lil'" with "Royale" (the name of the theater) written in pencil. Deaccession stamp from Culver Pictures Inc. Very good; minor edge problems, reinforced around edges of verso. Encased in mylar for preservation.
