(Hesser, Edwin Bower) John Gilbert. Two original, vintage photographs of the mega silent film star who was often paired with Greta Garbo; he was called "the great lover". 13½" x 10", both with Hesser's backstamp. One is a left-profile, three-quarter pose, holding a cane; the second shot (wearing the same clothes) is chest up, without the hat, with Gilbert's face just slightly turned to his right. Both have paper remnants on the back corners and minor edge blemishes, else fine.
