Marilyn Monroe - Double Red Sitting by Milton Greene. 11x14" double image from the Red Sitting, Marilyn's last sitting with Milton Greene in 1957. With blind embossed stamp, "Milton H. Greene / Edward Weston Collection" with stamp on the verso, hand dated, "3/4/1992," and numbered "MG021." Both images show Marilyn in a sexy, halter-top red dress with a full skirt. In one image, she strikes a provocative pose, as she toys with her hair; in the other image, her legs are folded and she playfully leans on her right arm. Mint condition.

Milton H. Greene (1922-85) first photographed Marilyn for LOOK magazine in 1953. The two became friends and formed their own production company, whch produced "Bus Stop" and "The Prince and the Showgirl." Marilyn stayed with Greene and his family in Connecticut before her marriage to Arthur Miller, during which time Greene made many memorable photos of her.
