Los Angeles History - 1885 Handcolored Lithograph. Lithograph by C.L. Smith & Co., Oakland, California, published by Thompson & West, 10x26¾", matted and framed to an overall size of 15½x31½". "View Showing Orange and Lemon Groves and Residence of Jos. W. Wolfskill, Between Alameda and San Pedro Streets, Los Angeles, Cal." Two small tears in lower border, else fine. Joseph Wolfskill was the son of William Wolfskill, a frontiersman who came to California from Kentucky in 1831 and who is considered the father of the early citrus industry.
