(Hawaii) Kamehameha III Royal Patent No. 1326 - 1854. Partly printed bi-lingual Royal Patent No. 1326 signed "Kamehameha" as King nine months before his death (15 Dec. 1854), 4pp, 14x8½", Honolulu, 21 Mar., 1854. Countersigned by Keoni Ana. Very good; light toning and seal transfer. The document has the royal seal. A transaction with Peter J. Gulick relative to land at Mokuleia, Waialua, Oahu, Hawaii. Peter Johnson Gulick was an early missionary and father to Orramel H. Gulick and John Thomas Gulick; he was also uncle to Charles T. Gulick. Keoni Ana (John Young II) was the son of John Young and the chiefess Kaonaeha. He succeeded Kekauluoki as Prime Minister (1845-54) and also served at various times as governor of Maui, Minister of the Interior and as a justice of the Supreme Court.
