Washington, George - Two Engravings After Joseph Wright. Both bust-right engravings were published in 1792, one for "Ladies Magazine" and one for "Literary Magazine." The first is by an anonymous engraver after the great American artist Joseph Wright; paper measures 8x5" and the image 4x3½"; tear in paper touches edge of image. The second was engraved by Thomas Holl and published by C. Forster; paper is 7x4½" and the image 4x3½"; see Wick, Figure 24, page 38. Both items are matted.
