(Queens) Wilhelmina of the Netherlands and Elizabeth of Romania. Wilhelmina (1880-1962) was Queen of the Netherlands from 1890 to 1948 when she abdicated in favor of her daughter; her radio broadcasts from London inspired Dutch resistance to the German occupation. Large formal portrait signed as Queen, 14½x11", n.p., n.d. Fine; light creases in left corners. Elizabeth of Romania (1843-1916) was author of 20 books. Picture Postcard signed as Queen, with autograph sentiment in French, in purple ink, on the verso: "When one has sacrificed oneself, it is no longer necessary to ask what happens to the work. It goes on! Elisabeth / Nov. 1910! " On the front, she wrote, "50 years!" Fine.
