Willard, Frances E (1839-98) American educator and reformer. Autograph Sentiment Signed, "Yours for God and Home and Native Land, (the motto of the Woman's National Christian Temperance Union), as president, on official letterhead, Chicago, IL, 24 Nov. 1888. To Mr. W.E. Mitchell. Fine. Willard supported women's suffrage and believed women could gain political power through the temperance crusade. Her statue is in the U.S. Capitol Building.
