Disney, Walter Elias. Program for the dedication ceremonies of Walt Disney School Signed in red pencil on the front cover, 8½x5½" (Anaheim, California, 30 Mar. 1957). Disney is listed as a speaker on the program. Two newspaper photographs show Disney speaking to the young people at the dedication and the newspaper account states that Disney spoke and that the school's multipurpose room was decorated by murals using Disney characters, which were designed and executed by Disney's top art director, Bob Moore. Disney was on President Eisenhower's committee concerned with the problems of education. A school photo of the 1957 first-grade class is included. The school was located close to Disneyland.
