China. Vintage to Antique, Large and Interesting Lot of "Ethnic" Jewelry. Circa 18th -20th century. Items mostly in silver (plain, enameled, or gilt), a few gilt bronze, and most of filigree manufacture. Many with popular emblems, or luck or prosperity signs. The impressive bracelets set with jade, turquoise or lapis lazuli. A nice gilt jewelry element, perhaps Tibetan, set with emerald, beryls, coral, and pearls; also 2 loose jade pendants. And peculiar to China alone, a small run of hairpins set with blue kingfisher feathers. Last, a fascinating lot of antique inlays or pendants in deep red-orange lacquer or copal -- many showing long use. Lot of 42 items.
