1787 Fugio Cent. Pointed rays, cinquefoils, "STATES UNITED". . Newman 18-U Rarity-4. VG-10. A couple points sharper but very lightly cleaned. Rather glossy medium brown and chocolate with pinkish steel brown on some of the central highpoints thanks to the cleaning. There are traces of extremely fine roughness in the fields, but no verdigris or contact marks. A small planchet lamination near the rim at the top of the reverse is the only notable flaw. A small planchet clip, as struck, is located right of the sun.
