1787 Machin's Mills Halfpenny Vlack 19-87C Rarity-2 VF20. Sharpness EF40 but covered with light corrosion. A few tiny specks of greenish verdigris can be found with the aid of a good glass, but they are not a distraction. There is a slight bend in the planchet at the rim under the portrait and a thin nick or short scratch down from the bust to the rim below. Slightly glossy dark olive with chocolate brown highpoints. Sharply struck with excellent detail in spite of the light roughness. Weight 102.5 grains.
