Lot 714

1787 Connecticut Miller 32.5-aa Rarity-4 F15. Draped bust left. FNDE error. Clipped Planchet. Sharper by at least 5 points with a shallow planchet lamination at the top of the head and a shallow planchet fissure in the hair right of the ear. The planchet is covered with extremely faint granularity that's effectively hidden under a rather glossy olive and chocolate brown patina. Traces of crud show in protected areas, but overall the eye appeall of this example is excellent for the grade. The FNDE error is bold, as are the date and legends. A curved planchet clip shows on the right side, but it does not reach the legends. Weight 147.9 grains.
Estimated Value $75 - 125.

Realized $345
