1905, $20 Gold Certificate. . Fr-1180. . KL-557. PCGS Very Fine 25. This is the beautiful and much discussed "Technicolor" note, so called from its vivid gold and red front (using the standard orange back of the gold certificate series). The term Technicolor came into use with the Technicolor Corporation formed around the end of the First World War. When this particular 1905 series gold certificate got its nickname is unknown, but the rarity of the Type in all grades, and constant collector pressure since it is a one-series "Type" insures a strong future ahead for it. Definitely a worthwhile pursuit for the collector.
Estimated Value $1,700 - 1,800.

Realized $4,830
