Lot 4780

1901, $10 United States Note. . Fr-122. . KL-388. PCGS Extremely Fine 40. A few hidden folds are present but the note faces up as a beuatiful CU example. Throughout this catalog we use the term United States Note or Legal Tender to describe the greenbacks of 1862 and those of this obligation which followed. Often, in later issues, terms like Treasury Note or United States Note appear in the top margin. However, all were issued under the terms spelled out in the Legal Tender Acts of 1862 and 1863 which authorized them. Speelman and White signatures appear at the end of the Bison Note series, the two shared office in 1922 to 1927.
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,500.

Realized $3,450
