Lot 4409

Great Britain. Crown, 1889. S.3921; ESC-299; Dav-107; KM-765. Victoria. Jubilee bust of Queen Victoria wearing small crown, facing left. Reverse: Traditional St. George and dragon design with date below. Another Victoria 'Jubilee' crown with only the tiniest trace of toning, but with great eye appeal and lots of bright luster. The St. George design is traditionally more weakly struck on the 1889 and 1890 crowns than it is on the 1887 crowns, but this piece has an unusually sharply struck reverse. NGC graded MS-62.
Estimated Value $175 - 225.

Realized $168
