Seleucid Kingdom. Antiochos VI, Dionysos, 145-142 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.61 g.), Antioch, dated 143/2 BC. Radiate and diademed head right. Reverse: Dioskouroi riding left with couched lances; TPY, PXA monogram to right, below, OP (= date of 170 Seleucid Era); all in wreath of lily, ivy, and grain ears. SMA 244; BMC --; SNG Cop. --. Good strike, the portrait full and sharp. Fields a little polished during cleaning a long time ago. Handsome portrait and toning. Nearly Extremely Fine / Very Fine.
