1896 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 67 Cameo. Fully white and boldly struck. The stupendous example offered here not only shatters the normally seen striking woes, but its brilliant, gleaming surfaces border on perfection. In fact, only scattered coins offered a few times a year come anywhere near to this handsome 1896 dollar. Struck with systematic exactness throughout, with all of the Mint's talent on display for bidders to admire, there is no need to ignore the central part of the design where a somewhat rounded impression is left by the dies on occasion, even on a few of the Proofs. This coin is decidedly bold in the centers. The cameo effect from the frosted devices, first-rate. 762 proofs minted. Pop 13; 8 finer. (PCGS # 7331) .
