Lot 3146

1891-CC Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. White and semi reflective. A radiant example, fully struck with silver color that rises and falls in an almost rhythmic display. A fair number of baggy Unc. 1891-CC dollars got released when the U.S. Treasury Department opened its vaults for public sale back in the 1950s and 1960s. Others were offered in the GSA sales of the early 1970s. But of the thousands of low-end survivors, the high end coins have very low population, as these statistics reveal: Pop 109; 9 finer; 8 in 66; 1 in 67. (PCGS # 7206) .
Estimated Value $2,800 - 3,000.
The Greenhill Collection.

Realized $3,910
