1879-CC $20 Liberty. NGC graded AU-55. Plenty of original mint luster present. Lightly toned. A satiny and lustrous example with extensive amounts of residual mint frost on and within the devices. The luster continues throughout the field on both sides with a nuance of faint champagne orange on both sides. The strike is virtually complete for this often difficult CC-mint release, although perhaps a hint of weakness is seen at the beaded border of the coronet, scarcely noticeable in the overall sharp design. One of the key dates with only 10,708 minted. Pop 42; 51 finer.
