1857-S $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-65. S. S. Central America. 20A Spiked Shield. A brilliant gem exhibiting natural pinkish-golden color. The fully brilliant example we now hand over bidders beats (from a technical angle) practically all of the MS65 1857-S double eagles that have passed through the various PCGS SS Central America grading procedure. Another first-rate survivor with its bold impression left by a full blow of the dies, this handsome coin is very sharp from top to bottom, center to periphery. In a gold label holder.
