1882-CC $10 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-58. This is a frosty textured '82-CC Eagle with almost no detectable friction on the high points. Further, the few abrasions are in the main light while the strike is well performed in all areas showing sharp curls on Liberty, and sharp eagle feathers plus shield. PCGS has graded none finer. To see why, it is necessary to delve into the coin's background. The 1882-CC Eagle, with its low mintage of 6,764 pieces, is the rarest CC-mint Eagle issued after 1879, in addition to survivors being equally as elusive as those of the more talked-about 1871-CC and 1874-CC deliveries. Pop 13; none finer. (PCGS # 8696) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 11,000.

Realized $11,500
