Struck with technical exactness throughout, the Denver Mint's extensive 1909 production makes it the right choice for a U.S. gold type set. Luster is almost always fresh and gleaming; on a naturally toned coin like this piece, the luster has an even better quality, and 1909-D half eagles are noted for their sharp strikes.
