Lot 2052

1890-CC $5 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-61. Semi reflective surfaces, Nicely toned. Evenly balanced toned mint frost with a nice balance of color and "antique" toning, a very attractive 1890-CC example. Desirable with this meticulous strike, there are full stars and hair curls, with a nice edge to Liberty's coronet, all areas were the first signs of a weak strike will occur. But 1890-CC half eagles, scarce though they are, tend to be well made, which is a blessing. Pop 20; 94 finer. (PCGS # 8376) .
Estimated Value $1,100 - 1,200.

Realized $1,898
