Fr-598. 1902, $5 National Bank Note, FNB Lonaconing, MD. . Fr-598. . KL-1155. PCGS Fine 12.Lonaconing, or "Coney" as the locals call it, represents one of the real challenges of collecting this area. This rare one-bank town had a very small issuance and only 5 notes are known to the census today. The Shank specimen, a fine $20 3rd charter, sold in 1998 for $4950. This is a very rare note with very infrequent auction appearances.
