Lot 5017

Fr-2302*. 1934-A, $5 World War II Emergency Note. . Fr-2302*. . KL-1961*. PCGS Extremely Fine 40PPQ. Hawaii star note $5s are not common in any grade, and any time an original high-end circualted example appears it garners much attention from small size collectors. This note has boldly original paper surfaces that display only light handling that is consistent with the grade, and the eye appeal is terrific for the grade and the issue. This exceptional rarity is likely to inspire spirited bidding and our top estimate may be breached if more than one bidder considers this a must-have item (which is not an unreasonable assumption).
Estimated Value $9,000 - 14,000.
The Brooklyn Collection.
