Lot 3974

1914 $10 Indian. PCGS graded MS-62. Frosty with only a few light marks on Liberty's features. This is one of the slightly scarcer P-mint issues. At the time, the European nations had undertaken to destroy one another in what was at first called The Great War. This put tremendous pressure on the money markets. Although the American mints would continue striking $10 Eagles into 1916, that would cease in 1917-19 until the situation stabilized. Many early gold pieces were exported (PCGS # 8875) .
Estimated Value $625 - 675.

Realized $1,093
