Lot 3950

1908-S $10 Indian. With motto. NGC graded MS-65. Lovely golden toning and well struck. Very pretty coin! Bright orange-gold with warm accents on the highlights. A satiny gem that boast an endless amount of luster and physical strength. The characteristic San Francisco mint strike is bold, which is very positive for a low mintage date that collectors find difficult to obtain in any Uncirculated grade. Don't expect the usual halfhearted impression left by the striking of the sometimes worn dies that made this piece. We are glad to report the opposite is true. This is a very bold coin with sharp feathers in the stylized war bonnet as well as on the eagle's wings. Your acquaintance with this piece, once you spend a little time with it, will ripen, and you may find yourself reaching for your checkbook to make sure you've funds enough for the inevitable bidding tussle that will arise when it is time to be auctioned. Pop 12; 10 finer.
Estimated Value $14,000 - 16,000.

Realized $18,975
