1909-O $5 Indian. NGC graded AU-58. Popular key date. A beaming AU58 rolling in unbeatable smooth luster that emits boldly beneath bright highlights and only minor circulation friction. Possessed of a much better-quality strike than is normally found for a key date issue like this, all of the "recessed relief" design is firmly struck by the dies, while the mintmark (the only part of the coin actually above the field surface) has a nicely formed "O" for all to see and the knowledgeable collector to think about and admire. Only 34,200 minted. Pop 249; 104 finer at NGC.
