1904 $5 Liberty. PCGS graded Proof 64 Cameo. Lovely rich golden color. Only 136 proofs struck. Pop 12; 2 in 65 Cam; 1 in 66 Cam. The Proof of 1900-05 were ordered in the largest numbers up to this time, with 1904's issuance 136 Proofs, the fifth highest of the design. This is an attractively toned example whose vibrant yellow-gold to orange surface is nicely mirrored, with the fields watery against lightly contrasting cameo devices. While not a coin for the wealthy perfectionist, and with a few dim hairlines, this is an exceptionally attractive Proof 64 (PCGS # 88499) .
