Lot 3626
Gordian III, 238-244 AD. Lot of 22 AR Antoniniani. All with radiate, draped, and/or cuirassed bust right. Reverses: (A) Fortuna enthroned left, with usual attributes (B) Sol standing with globe, one arm raised (one example double weight -- 6.01 grams) (C) Liberalitas left, holding abacus(?); and lastly (D) togate Gordian left, sacrificing over altar. Inspection suggested, for variety of strikes, surfaces and patinas. Lot of 22 coins. Coins range from About Fine to Very Fine plus.
