Aelius, as Caesar under Hadrian, 136-138 AD. Gold Aureus (7.24g), Rome, struck 137 AD. Rare. Bare head right. Reverse: Concordia enthroned left, holding patera in right hand and resting left elbow on cornucopia; TRIB POT COS II, CONCORD in exergue. RIC 443a; C. 10. Finely centered, sharply struck. Very lustrous, with truly superb portrait in high relief. Extremely Fine.
