Lot 3390

Russia. Novodel Ruble, 1810-SPB FG. Bitkin-H70; Sev-2603. Alexander I. Plain edge. First type with date above the eagle. This Superb Gem is very sharply struck, virtually perfect in that regard and the surfaces are equally perfect and wholly prooflike. It is in addition beautifully toned in Old iridescent shades of golden russet and blue, these features combining, to provide exceptional eye appeal. It is rated R3, with only 4 to 9 estimated to exist. We feel confident in judging this outstanding specimen to be the finest of its type. PCGS graded MS-67.
Estimated Value $15,000 - 25,000.
The Dr. Robert Hesselgesser Collection.
