Great Britain. Triple Unite, 1643. S.2724; Fr-258. Charles I, 1625-1649. Oxford mint. Mintmark, plume. Crowned half-length bust left, holding sword and olive branch. Reverse: Scroll-type legend (The Declaration) in wavy lines, date below and value above. Struck during the time of the Civil War, this coin had a value of 60 shillings and was the largest gold coin ever struck in England. This virtually mint state example is well struck for the issue with hints of mint luster. Very Rare. NGC graded AU-55 Too large for holder, with tag.
