Schõnberg, Arnold (1874-1951) Austrian composer. Typed Letter Signed, in German, 1 p., 10¾x8¼", Frankfurt, 12 Oct. 1928. Fine. To Paul Aron in Dresden, stating that, in principle, he would be happy to accept Aron's kind invitation to perform his "Suite opus 29" with Aron. "However, adequate pre-rehearsals would have to be arranged because it's impossible for me to stay long enough for you to learn it from the very beginning…." Musicians and critics say that long exposure and repeated listening is necessary to appreciate Schõnberg's music, and, obviously, to play it properly. "Suite opus 29" is scored for seven instruments.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,250.
