Lombard, Carol (1908-42) Comedienne; known as the "Screwball Queen of the Screen." She died in a plane crash outside Las Vegas while returning from a war bond rally in Indiana. Edwin Bower Hesser original 13 ¼" x 10 ¼" photograph with Hesser's embossed imprint at lower left and backstamp. One tiny white dot in Miss Lombard's hair, else fine.
