Fr. 1382 1866 Fractional Currency Shield. Re-constructed shield with gray background containing 39 specimen notes of the first three issues of postage and fractional currency, including the Grant and Sherman essays. Fair to good condition with some repaired tears. The gray background shield has been cut out and remounted into a period-style wooden frame, 31¼" x 27¼". An attractive display item.
