1887 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. NGC graded Proof 67. Lovely blue and gold toning on both sides. The otherwise sparkling mirror surface flares into heavy frostiness in a few areas of the devices underneath the colorful toning, but for the most part this is a reflective gem. Sometimes on this issue, the devices that were left by the dies are short of the required precision due to weak die pressure mainly at the stars, and we find that is the case here; however, everything else is finely detailed, including the centers. Superb! Only 710 proofs struck. Pop 11; 1 in 68.
