Judaea. Bar Kochba Revolt, 132-135 AD. AE Middle Bronze (25 mm.), Year 3, 134/135 AD. Rare. Only four examples cited by Mildenberg. Seven-branched palm tree with two date clusters; Hebrew across field below ("Simon"). Reverse: Bunch of grapes hanging from short branch; Hebrew around ("Year two of the freedom of Jerusalem"). Hendin 736a var.; Mildenberg 109 (letter nun missing from "Shimon"). Good strike on slightly compact flan. Black-green patina with earthen highlights. Extremely Fine.
